Alone
Yosemite, 2021
Cold blues, barren trees, snowy ground and empty space. Paints a beautiful and hauntingly real picture. Funny when photos depict a mood, unexplainable but familiar - at the end of the day we are just tiny people in the grander scheme of things, in the vastness of the world.
Still, anyone who has felt invisible in a crowded space, been overlooked, unheard even when screaming at the top of their voices, know it - you don’t need a haunting set up to feel alone. People, their judgment, their expectations do that to you.
It took me years of unlearning to appreciate that the vastness meant being a part of this without abiding by the society’s expectations. Ultimately, to embrace the solitude and find beauty within my world.

Back To You
San Gregario, 2021
I felt a sense of familiarity as soon as I started walking towards the beach. Vague memories of the time I spent in California came rushing back and I realised that a lot has changed since. The one thing that won’t change is me coming back to you.

31 is the new 21
Udaipur, 2021
I took this photograph on my 31st birthday this year at a place I’ve wanted to visit for the last 5 years. Until that day, I thought my peak years to travel the world were long gone because that's what everyone tells you. After being stuck at home for 16 months during a global pandemic, taking in this view made me realise that this was just the beginning of the new life I wanted to build for myself. I’m only getting started on the places I want to see, the things I want to do and the people I want to meet.

blues, but the good kind
Cities: San Francisco, Aspen, Stockholm and Malmö
Years: 2017-2019
As someone who tends to edit with cooler tones in my photos; over the last few years, I've been working on a collection of exclusive photos with “blue” as the dominant hue. Blue is often associated with sadness and melancholy. But for me, it represents peace and serenity. This inspired the name of my collection. Blues, but the good kind.
Blue Bay
San Francisco, 2019
Spending the evening walking along The Embarcadero is one of my favorite things to do whenever I visit San Francisco. In summer 2012 when I lived in the city I used to go on long walks with my brother. Whenever we went out for dinner, we always took the Embarcadero route while walking back home. The city lights to your right and the Bay Bridge on the left is a beautiful view to take in. Blue Bay was shot towards the end of blue hour on a fall evening I spent at Pier 14 listening to music and photographing the SF skyline.
Sail Away
Stockholm, 2018
The beauty of a lone ferry quietly making its way along the ocean, leaving gentle ripples in its wake. I don't think there's a better way to describe how I was living life when I edited this image last year 4 months into the pandemic, and still am. Most days I feel like a lone blob floating around aimlessly and this photo of a ferry on an overcast day is a perfect representation of it.
Turning Torso
Malmö, 2018
As a photographer, I thrive on finding new perspectives on subjects that are overly photographed. I was roaming around the streets of Malmö just after sunset and I unexpectedly found a clear view of the Turning Torso through the trees in a kid's park. It was one of those eureka moments when you know you’ve got the shot you’ve been looking for. I asked my friend to stop the car, literally jumped out with my 85mm, and got this unique composition of the building. The moon being right next to it was a cherry on top.

City Romance
San Francisco, 2019
I got to experience the prettiest golden hour light by the bay. It was absolutely beautiful, straight out of a romantic movie set. And as romance movies reminders go, this was a moment worth sharing with loved ones, which I did thanks to technology. This capture is me romanticizing the beauty of SF and hoping to be there again with someone to share this hour, this view.

A Quiet Escape
Maroon Bells, CO
'A Quiet Escape' was born from the pain of wanting to disconnect from the world that reminded me of what I had lost. I took this photo during one of the lowest moments in my life back in 2017. It felt like I had lost every chance of ever finding love again and this was it for me. I knew what had happened was my choice and I was finally out of a toxic relationship but it still hurt so much thinking this was it. There’s no better escape than to be camping in the middle of the wilderness with no reception.
Still Healing
Stockholm, 2018
On my last day in Stockholm, I walked down the steps at City Hall and sat down with my camera to witness the beauty of the blue hour over Södermalm. Since a couple of months before this trip, I was struggling to stay afloat or find some sort of direction in life, but I had a couple of realisations during the trip that helped me heal a little and find closure. Looking at this view from across, all that self-reflecting switched something in me, and suddenly the world seemed to be coloured in a new light.
Blank Spaces
San Francisco, 2019
More often than not, photographs are just captures. No back story, no personal connection of any kind. Just a moment that the photographer thought of eternalising. And like in any sort of art, it can be open to interpretation. That’s the beauty of it all. An empty space for me might be a blank canvas for someone else. This photograph is one of those. What would you fill into the blank space?
Scaling Heights
San Francisco, 2019
San Francisco is where I started my journey as a photographer and I’ll never get tired of photographing this city. Every building, crooked street, the bay, the bridges are worth that 1000th capture. This city let me make mistakes, learn from them, and gave me the skill set to succeed in this profession.
Blinding Lights
San Francisco, CA
What if I told you that I couldn’t see a damn thing while taking this photograph? My right eye’s cornea has a deformation that turns lights into weird shapes and long flares are formed along with it. That’s one of the reasons that I don’t shoot a lot at night. But sometimes, the instinct to capture the moment keeps me going. With so many lights along Pier 7 walkway, the illuminated buildings, and the angle too high to maintain symmetry, I was actually shooting blind but the photo turned out really well and exactly the way I wanted it.
